Civil society activists and organizations
Your role is to represent activists and civil society organizations (NGOs) advocating for change. Analyse the impact of the Suppression and Restriction of Expression Act on your ability to speak out and mobilise public opinion. Develop strategies to raise awareness, promote dialogue and challenge restrictions on free speech.
Organize protests and peaceful actions:
Activists and organizations can mobilize citizens and organize protests and peaceful actions to support the freedom of speech. They can organise mass demonstrations, petitions, marches and other forms of public expression that attract the attention of the public and the international community.
Legal actions and appeals:
Activists and organizations can use the legal system and take legal action against violations of freedom of speech. They can lodge complaints with the relevant courts and international human rights organisations by arguing the validity of their claims or allegations in order to expose violations of citizens’ rights.
